Vinosmith will block orders if the order takes a wine's inventory negative. When the feature is enabled, the user will be notified that the order cannot be submitted if there is a wine(s) with insufficient inventory.

At this time, this feature does not work on Vinosmith Mobile or Native App

To enable this feature

  • Navigate to My Account
  • Click the Manage link in the left-hand navigation
  • Next, click Edit in the left-hand navigation
  • Under the Warehousing / Order Entry section, select an option for Order Entry: BLOCK ORDER if there is insufficient inventory? 
    • Disabled (no-blocking)
    • Block everyone
    • Block Sales Reps
  • Then click Save

This setting is similar to the Notify User if there is insufficient inventory setting. When this is enabled the order will be blocked from submission, above and beyond the notification.

Please note

If creating an order from an Allocation and the allocation amount is more than what's available, adjust the quantity to be able to submit the order.

For example, if the allocation is for 10 cases and there is only 9 cases in available inventory, you can only create the order for 9 cases.
