Vinosmith checks the `available` inventory bucket on a line item for sufficient inventory. If there is insufficient inventory, Vinosmith notifies the user on the screen that there is insufficient inventory to fill the order. This notification applies to rep and admin users inputting or editing an order.

We do not block the order from being placed.

The New Order notification email calls out that the order has a line item(s)with insufficient inventory.

To enable this feature (Admins only)

  1. Go to My Account
  2. Click Manage
  3. Click Edit
  4. Scroll down to the Warehousing / Order Entry section
  5. Check the box for Order Entry: Notify User if there is insufficient inventory?
