By default, exporting your Customers from the Customer Center provides an Excel document with the Customer address fields (street, city, state, etc) smashed together in one field.

The Accounts import template for Vinosmith requires these fields to be separated into distinct columns.

Fortunately you can run a customized report to extract these fields from QB.

  1. From the Reports menu choose "Customers & Receivables" > "Customer Contact List"
  2. In the report window then click on the "Customize Report" button
  3. In the pop-up, scroll down the columns list and check to include all of the "Ship To Street1", "Ship To Street 2", "Ship To City", etc. columns. You might need to choose the "Bill To X" columns instead, if for some reason you're Ship To data is not populated.
  4. Click OK and if you scroll to the right of the report you'll see the address components broken into separate columns.
  5. From here you can export to Excel.
