Sidekick has recently released support for sending orders programmatically (via a mechanism called an "API"). 

This means that you do not need to download a file and upload into the Sidekick web portal. That step is handled electronically.

If you are interested in this feature please contact help@vinosmith.com as it needs to be enabled with coordination from Sidekick Support.

Once the feature is enabled you can send orders via API.

How to Send Orders to Sidekick via the API

You start from the same Pending Deliveries screen. Select the orders and from the With Selected action dropdown choose Sidekick: Send Orders via API.

This will transmit the orders to Sidekick using the same Excel document you are currently using, just electronically.

If there are any errors during Sidekick processing you will be notified via email. Monitor your email and you will receive a notification from Sidekick. If all order(s) in the batch were successfully received and processed by Sidekick then go back to the Pending Deliveries screen and mark them as Processed, just like you do now.

If Sidekick indicates one or more orders were not processed, select just those orders and perform the current Sidekick: Download Orders Export .

You will then need to upload this file (like you do now) into the web portal. During this upload flow directly into Sidekick you will be prompted to resolve the issues.
