What is the Interactive Inventory tool?

The Interactive Inventory tool gives you the ability to filter items in various ways:

  • It can help you find what's currently in stock
  • Items can be grouped by producer (or almost any group using the available options)
  • It gives you the flexibility to pull data in various ways and customize columns
  • It also provides the ability to export the data into a spreadsheet

How to get to the Interactive Inventory tool

  • Click on Wines
  • From the left navigation, click on Interactive Inventory

Default Grid

When you first look at the Interactive Inventory, the rows (items) are grouped by Producer, and the columns are set as shown in the example below.

Customizing Grid State and Columns

You can customize your "Grid State", which means you can customize the columns and/or filters you prefer when opening the Interactive Inventory.

Customizing the Columns

  • On the far right of the screen, click on Columns
  • A dialogue box will slide out and you can choose your option preferences (please see items circled in purple in the image below)
  • As you select your options, you'll see the columns change
  • You can also change the order of the columns by dragging each line item to any position within the list

Grouping Data

Any of the column names can be used to group your data. You can do this by dragging the column name into the Row Groups box (please see the above image for the item circled in orange).

Filtering Data

  • On the far right of the screen, click on Filters
  • Click on the drop-down arrow for any of the parameters you'd like to use and enter the data needed
    • For example, in the Producer field, type in the producer's name. This will filter any items containing this producer.

Saving Grid State

To open the Interactive Inventory with these parameters you've just chosen:

  • Click on Save Grid State
  • Key in the name you'd like to use for this state
  • Click on OK

Exporting Data

The Interactive Inventory will export the data that is currently on the screen.
